Plants in the Garden

The museum has attempted to be faithful to the recreation of Mrs. Bellamy’s formal garden by predominantly using many “antique” plants or specimens available in the mid-nineteenth century. We identify these as “heirloom” plants. The rear yard and adjacent parking lot planting beds contain some newer varieties.
