Slave Quarters

On the northeast corner of the Bellamy lot stands the original brick slave quarters and is the object of our next major restoration endeavor. As Catherine Bishir, noted architectural historian has written, “The remarkably unchanged structure is the most intact of surviving urban slave quarters in the state and among the most intact in the South.”
