UNCW Intern Fair
The Bellamy Mansion Museum offers opportunities for undergraduate and graduate
​students in a variety of disciplines. Internships may be available for those interested in:

Museum Education/Administration
Marketing/Public Relations/Event Planning
Non-Profit Development/
Grant Writing
History/Research
English/Technical Writing
Customize your own internship!

A general internship at the Bellamy Mansion Museum includes the following tasks/projects:
  • Providing customer service at the admissions desk and gift shop 
  • Giving guided tours of the site
  • Researching and writing blogs for the Museum (both historical and contemporaneous)
  • Creating social media content
  • Assisting with a variety of marketing and administrative tasks 
  • Volunteering at special events and lectures 

Skills required of all Bellamy Mansion Museum interns include:
  • Basic computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and comfort with social media sites and applications
  • Willingness to learn a point of sale system and handle money
  • Writing competency (writing sample required)

Ideal Bellamy Mansion Museum interns will possess these qualities:
  • Professionalism in appearance and attitude
  • Self-motivated 
  • Receptive to working with others and accepting feedback
  • Attentive to punctuality and deadlines
  • Ability to keep focused in a communal office setting 
Internships are generally unpaid, last one semester, and may be secured throughout the year. Shorter, summer internships are available for students interested in giving guided tours and helping run Museum Camp.  For more information, please contact us by emailing [email protected].

Ticket Sales & Tours
10:00 am - 4:00 pm daily
  • Self-guided tour must begin by 4 pm. Must be completed by 5 pm
  • Smartphone needed for audio tour. Earbuds or headphones make for the best experience.
  • Premium guided tours at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm when available. Call to check.

  • Students (ages 4-13): $7.50 
  • Children (ages 0-3): FREE
