The museum is open for tours:
Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Guided tours are given on the hour, and the last tour begins at 4:00 p.m.
Self-guided audio-tours and paper tours in English, French, German, and Spanish are available at other times with the last self-guided tour beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The museum is closed for tours on Mondays.
Office hours for museum staff are Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The Carriage House Visitor Center is where we greet our many visitors and start all tours. The building is located behind the mansion and is accessible from the parking lot on Market Street or via the 5th Avenue gate. The center also houses our gift shop featuring a wide range of books and gift selections.

The first floor of the Carriage House Visitor Center, which includes the admissions desk, gift shop, and orientation room, is fully accessible. A brick ramp is conveniently located in front of the visitor center from the Fifth Avenue gate.
The restrooms, located between the Visitor Center and Slave Quarters, are handicap accessible.
The mansion, built according to mid-nineteenth standards, is accessible only by stairways.
We do offer a 30 minute complimentary video tour for guests who are unable to walk the stairs.
