Museum Summer Camp
Every summer the Bellamy Mansion Museum hosts school-aged campers for week-long, half-day museum camps. Campers learn about history, architecture, historic preservation, and museology. We explore the who, what, where, when, and why of museums in authentic settings and learning from museum professionals.
While the camp is headquartered at the Bellamy, campers visit other local museums like the Cape Fear Museum of History and Science and the Burgwin-Wright House. We even take a boat cruise with the Wilmington Water Tours! The camp is run by current and former licensed professional educators, UNCW graduate interns, and Bellamy staff and volunteers. Space is limited! For more information, or to register your camper today, please call Leslie at 910-251-3700 ext. 305 or email [email protected]. We are sad to announce due to the COVID-19 closure that lasted from
mid-March through mid-July, the Bellamy is not able to offer Museum Summer Camp for 2020. |
